"A PACK of up to 12 sharks was seen gorging on large schools of bait fish off the Gold Coast today, with some seemingly so full the fish didn't bother to flee.
A PACK of up to 12 sharks was seen gorging on large schools of bait fish off the Gold Coast today.
The surf was cleared at Main Beach after reported sightings around 1pm, as the sharks patrolled the water from Surfers Paradise to The Spit.
Up to 18 sharks were sighted from the air, some travelling in a pack of 12 and others on their own, and cruising to within 15m of the shore at times.
The sharks were attracted by large schools of bait fish which are a common sight on the Coast during winter."
